Makahiki Season: A Winter to Remember
Jaws. Pipeline. Honolua Bay.
One of the greatest Hawaiian winters in recent memory—and we were there for all of it.
This edit is a visual love letter to the 2024–25 Makahiki season. From the raw, chaotic energy of Peʻahi to the mechanical perfection of Pipe, to the soul-moving magic of Honolua Bay, this winter had it all. The kind of season that doesn’t just live in your memory—but rewires your sense of what’s possible.
Some of the best surf cinematographers in the game contributed to this reel. The rest? Captured on my iPhone—chasing swells, dodging spray, and pulling into closeouts. It’s raw. It’s real. And it’s stitched together by a custom soundtrack from my mate Vandelux, who took the vibe to another level.
